Fantasy Draft Help
Hi, my 2nd round pick in a 20 team competitive league will be up in a few hrs. I need some help with my 2nd round selection. It's a salary league which is why some of the earlier picks are not necessary talent first. I've posted the picks taken so far. At this point it seems the better talents avaliable are all pitchers, while hitters are a bit slim.
Players that i am considering with my next pick are Jesse Briddle (SP Phi) and Peter Tago (SP Col). I'm looking for some other suggestions, and/or what you think of these two players. Thanks!

i would go with tago
then for your next round i would consider biddle, luke jackson, reggie golden and austin wates, in that order. i would not expect biddle or jackson to be available next round, but golden and wates might be
are you interested in joining the mother of all dynasty leagues?
if so, email me at rmlamontagne@gmail.com
I heard Tim Lincecum will win 1 Cy Young & 11 Tim Lincecums. Question is, how many Cole Hamels will he win?

Thanks for the invite
But I’m not looking to add any more fantasy commitments right now.

A. Simmons, SS
from Atlanta seems to be doing MUCH better with the bat than people thought he would. Combine that with his SILLY good arm and defense, he’s got a shot to be a regular in Atlanta as soon as 2013.

thanks guys
and yeah this is our 2010 amateur draft.
next 3
for me, the next 3 are
Sammy Solis
Brandon Workman
Levon Washington
Brett Eibner
Personally, I would go with Brett Eibner, CF Kansas City Royals

I'd go Solis if he is around
Eibner / Workman / O’Conner / Biddle / Syndegaard / H. Simpson
are ahead of Tago, and guys like Seth Blair (I love seth blair) and Gary Brown I may have ahead of him as well.
please tell me youre joking about brown
you could at least make a case with the other guys, but brown?

Brown was already taken
And while Brown’s best attribute is lost in a fantasy league, his SB totals will be elite. He’ll also help in AVG and R departments. I’d take him over the majority of the guys Navi listed.

youd take him over biddle?
hes brett gardner 2.0

Would that be a bad thing?
I think he’ll have a higher AVG than Gardner (offset by a lower walk rate), but that would be a pretty damn good outcome for SF. I would probably opt for Biddle’s upside, but I don’t think it’s a cut and dry decision.

in fantasy?
if you took brett gardner out of the yankees lineup, his value gets cut in half. would he be valuable? sure, but most of those guys he mentioned have considerable more upside, fantasy wise

How so?
If he’s taken out New York’s lineup, he likely becomes the leadoff guy of whichever team he’s on. I don’t think his runs would be affected all that much.
Some of those guys may have more upside, but they also have considerably more downside. And in the case of Simpson or Blair, I don’t think they have higher ceilings either.
