Sickels based farm system
I've been reading this blog for the past few years and it is my primary source for minor league prospect information. Based on many recommendations I have built a pretty strong minor league roster. In our league we have 12 teams and you can have 13 players on your minor league roster and do not have to call them up as keepers until they have reached 250 AB's or 100 IP. Here is my roster:
2B - Eric Young Jr.
2B - Brett Lawrie
2B - Jason Kipnis
2B/SS - Jean Segura
SS/3B - Wilmer Flores
OF- Bryce Harper
OF- Dominic Brown
OF - Mike Trout
SP - Steven Strausburg
SP - Michael Pineda
SP - Jordan Zimmerman
RP/SP - Tanner Scheppers
Thank you John Sickels!!

You have possibly the three...
best 2B prospects in the minors. Well two of my top 3 with Ackley coming in at 3 just above Segura. You also have 4 potentia stud OFs(I see Flores more as RF) and a few amazing starters. You also have someone who I believe is going to be the second best catcher in the majors for a good chunk of his career. Nice group of prospects and Good Luck!
ETHAN MARTIN!!!!
RF for Flores?
I dunno, he may have a strong arm but I have a hard time believing he’d have the range to play RF. I tend to think it’s 3B (best case scenario) or LF/1B (more likely scenario).
I don't see any OF spot being viable
Putting someone that slow in the outfield is asking for trouble.

Agree
I like him better at SS than OF. I don’t know why people don’t get that’s it’s OK to have a below average defensive infielder. It doesn’t hurt you more than an equally bad outfielder.
There is 15 runs difference in positional value between SS and a corner OF spot. Unless you think the guy is going to be 15 runs better defensively in the OF, you don’t gain any by moving him there.
Flores best position will probably be 3B, but the next best alternatives will be 2B, SS, or 1B. He won’t need to be an above average defender to play those positions. For the higher value positions, he won’t need to be even an average defender. I think Flores is best thought of as profiling defensively as a slow infielder, along the lines of players like JJ Hardy, Jhonny Peralta, Juan Uribe, Ronnie Belliard, Mark Loretta, Jeff Keppinger, or Jorge Cantu.
Nice Job, do you play in a league where people don't value the minors?
The only reason I ask is that’s a pretty ridiculous mil roster. Do people just not care, or have you focused on your mil roster at the expense of your ml roster?
Wow.
I’m pretty proud of the fact that six of my seven minor leaguers have already gotten onto the community pitching or hitting list in an AL only league, but that list is just ridiculous. Somehow you missed out on some of the top Royals prospects, but you sure haven’t missed on much.
