Minors and callups 9/9
Don't know the matchups. Don't know all of the squads. Not much of interest happening in the Harrisburg/Altoona game I'm listening to and the Potomac/Frederick game that I'm following for folks. Hoping Derek Norris continues to make his case for Potomac. I'm sure the wise souls in the community will spread the knowledge.

Whatever changes they made to his mechanics
have been huge. Big, big fan of Stewart.

me too
Keith Law has a scouting report up that gives a strong review, calling Stewart more of a potential #2 than #3, depending on the dependability of his change-up. It’s here:

From a distance, hard not to be impressed by his 2nd half numbers, and by his playoff start last night.
pan am team
any chance some of these games are on MLB network?

waiting for this all season
pretty impressive performance in a big game. hopefully an encouraging sign for next year.
Engel Beltre
2-4, 3-run HR. Nice night for the big two names on that team.

Cool
file a report here after, please.
When you're drowning, you don't say 'I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,' you just scream.

He seems to like big stages (or it's most likely just random)
Sept. 12:
2/3 BB 3B HR SB
If only he could hit like he has in the playoffs and the Southern ASG all year.

James jones
3-4 HR, BB, 2 SB
Wednesday he went:
1-2, 3 BB
J Jones
he also won the #3 WR spot on the Packers.

Does a GS require more power than an HR?

It's not actually a crime
to be a fan of the game sometimes and exalt in a grand slam or big RBI game by a prospect. There’s a difference b/w using rbi’s as a measure of value or a metric for gauging future success on one hand and simply noting or enjoying a big RBI day. I guess this is my newest pet peeve, some kind of mass need to demonstrate one’s refined analysis skills by automatically shatting on every single mention of a run batted in.
Plus one
For use of word “shatting”.
I agree with the rest of this post, too.
Make it two
From someone who liberally refuses to people having shat the bed
hmm
i was wondering what you were refusing…to sleep with people who have shat the bed before? “refers” makes more sense.

The aid it provides to the team is more than a simple home run.
In the strictest terms and definitions, a grand slam is simply a home run. However, putting four runs on the board as opposed to one, two, or three makes it a singularly impressive accomplishment. The WPA that would be added by the extra run is significant.
Besides, the at bat was positively Barton-esque. Watch ball one. Watch strike one. Watch ball two. Watch strike two. Watch ball three (very close borderline pitch based on where Gameday located it). Swing at last pitch and deposit it into seats. Ackley’s pitch recognition and plate discipline are just awesome to behold. It’s nice to have a hitter with that shit figured out first. God, if only we could combine him with Halman… what a beast that would be…

September 10th, but oh well. No new thread
Erlin: 5 IP | 2 H | 1 R | 1 ER | 2 BB | 8 K
Miguel de los Santos: 3.2 IP | 1 H | 0 R | 3 BB | 8 SO
Engel Beltre: 2-4 with 2 triples and a K
His 2nd was in the 8th inning
and won the game for NWA, sending the series to a 5th game.
Hosmer has been dominant in this series, 5 HRs in 4 games.
Impressive
Look forward to seeing him continue this into the AFL.
