RIP Lou Brown
A true comeback story for the ages. Lou went from managing a tire store in Ohio to the ALCS in one season. He took over a truly pitiful Indians team, with a penny pinching owner and a bunch of has beens and never-will-bes and took them to a Division title. Though swept in the ALCS, he returned the following year with a new penny pinching owner and took the Indians to a World Series Championship.
It is by far the best coaching job in baseball history, and I am sorry to see him go.
RIP James Gammon

Nice catch Hayes.
Now don’t you ever fuckin’ do it again.
One of my all-time favorite movies. Any time I’m flipping through channels and it’s on, I will stop and watch it.
My favorite Lou Brown line
Indians General Manager: Lou, how would you like to manage the Indians?
Lou: Let me put you on hold, I’m talking to another guy on the line about some whitewalls.

we called one my High School teammates Rger Dorn
he would never slide, didn’t matter how close of a play it was he wouldn’t slide. We didn’t find out until his Senior year that he didn’t know how to.

haha, i only knew how to slide on one of legs
didn’t matter though, HS catchers weren’t great, stole every base with a couple hours to spare
Adoptive parent of Kyle Nicholson
he just put both legs out when he slid
he made fun of him every time he did it

But the quote I use most
We better teach this kid control before he kills somebody.
Forget about the curve ball, Ricky. Give him the heater!
