AAA- Ball: Troy Patton already tossed 7 shutout innings for Norfolk, Aroldis Chapman will deal some smoke vs Felix Doubront, Madison Bumgarner goes tonight for Fresno.
AA-Ball: Andrew Miller goes for Jacksonville, Micheal Pineda for West-Tenn
A-Ball: Maikel Cleto, Pil Joon Jang, Juerys Familia, Jared Cosart, Arodys Vizcaino, and Andrew Brackman are going. Brackman has had three decent starts in a row and has 36Ks and 6Bb so maybe he's coming along.
Fun day for me as my three favorite minor league pitchers, Bumgarner, Chapman, and Pineda are on the hill tonight as well as Brackman, who is on my fantasy roster, a toss-in in a trade.
Have fun watching and chatting Dudes, and Gals :)

more a joke toward the fact that most will be focusing on the draft rather than what goes on in the minors. normally i would have checked the royals minor league websites to see what time the games are at (afternoon games) and who is pitching by now, but haven’t yet. been all draft all day.

Draft is only first and supplementel round tonight. 2-30 on Tuesday, 31-50 on Wednesday.

Pineda looks good
No doubt, seems to be an uptick in velo…but doesn’t he have a wild GO/AU rate-not that it should affect him much at Safeco.

Pretty clear he has a crazy good arm [FB] but man that command needs a ton of work—as well as off-speed stuff…he may need at least a couple years to iron things out, and tweak the mechanics.

Now batting .280, with better splits vs. LHP than RHP (SSS alert).
He should be up by the first week of July. He has cut his K rate down pretty drasitcally, as he walked 17 times in May vs. 24 strikeouts. Pretty good shit for a power hitter….
I think his K rate is around 22% right now, with a BB rate of 14%.
