MOD: White Sox #3 (And final)
But of course this mock doesn't just go 1 round deep, so for the first time I'm going to touch on the later rounds. Feel free to post suggestions here. I think I'll go with a high upside guy in round 2, especially if I take Brentz or Workman in round 1. I like Mike Foltynewicz a lot but don't expect him to be around. Ditto Kris Bryant, Robbie Aviles, Cam Bedrosian, Griffin Murphy, LeVon Washington, Chevez Clarke and many others that I like. I think a realistic pool for round two is
Delino DeShields, Jr
Ryne Stanek
Aaron Sanchez
Peter Tago
Jacob Petricka
Mike Kvasnicka
Jason Adam
Jacob Petricka is one that really interests me. Late riser after finally getting back to full strength following TJ. Fastball has been up to 97 with a good curve. Kvasnicka's name has been mentioned as high as #4 to the Royals and I think he could be a good value pick here.Tago epitomizes the projectable high school pitcher. Stanek and Sanchez are the two I'm most hoping to get a shot at.
Round 3 names:
Gauntlett Eldemire
Drew Cisco
Mike Lipka
Dan Klein/Kevin Jacob
Scott Frazier
It would be nice to get a middle infielder and more athleticism into this system and Mike Lipka would certainly cover that, although he may be a CF long-term. Eldemire has very good tools but a lack of refinement which makes him a perfect White Sox guy. Cisco I see as being somewhat similar to David Holmberg last year just from the right side. Very advanced repertoire. I feel obliged to include middle relievers since the White Sox like to grab one in the 2nd-4th round range.
Round 3 Supplemental names:
Dave Filak
Perci Garner
Aaron Shipman
Dominic Ficociello
A couple of signable college guys with decent upside. Wouldn't mind either of these two at pick #114.

Since I pick right after you
Id say stay away from high impact/upside HS arms, and athletic bats.
I would say your best bet as the SD picking right before me would be to take surprise guys that no one else has heard of, guys that are big reclamation projects.
Ha. Will do.
Any personal faves you want me to avoid?

AJ Cole
I’m torn between taking who I think the Brewers should take, the opinion of the fans over at BCB, and what reports are about who the Brewers will actually take.
I personally would like them to go high upside HS arm like Whitson, Cole or Covey, but it appears they they are leaning towards the college arms like Ranaudo, Wojciehowski, Workman or Wimmers.
I have no problem with Workman or Wimmers, just feel that their upside is nowhere near that of the HS guys. I’m looking at a couple of bats as well, but may have to settle for them in the 2nd or 3rd round. Brewers need pitching plain and simple.
I honestly feel like there's going to be one good player to fall that's too good to pass up.
What’s your top 13?
You guys win. You can keep your little marked-out piece of internet territory. Spend your days communicating via keyboard with people too ugly for the real world and too nerdy for anyone to care, anyway. Your piece of land is here. Do the rest of civilization a favor and stay within its limits. You bore me. Have fun with your nightly sobs and screams into your pillow over your inability to attract a good mate, Radiohead. ~The Hooligan

Yeah
Once Castellanos/Sale went top 10 I knew someone I really wanted would fall.

From looking around other MOD's
It would seem that a lot of people are on Dave Filak in the 2nd round range so chances of him slipping to #114 may be slim.

The Mets
Are also eyeing up Brandon Workman at #7. That would throw me off a bit although it may allow Grandal to fall.

DeAndre Smelter
Think he could be a fine pickup in rounds 2 – 3 if available.
Not a fan?
I like him
But he seems a little too wild, not sure if he’ll ever have good control. Plus he has the two sport thing and could be a tough sign guy.
And by the way, DS, not that I envision there being any problems, but if something unforeseen happens (i.e. my internet goes down) and I’m not able to make all my picks, would you be up for stepping in?

Unfortunately I'm unable
I have an exam I need to leave for in about 20 minutes. Otherwise I would be all over it.
No worries
And good luck.
