Sleeper List Update, through the "Ls"
Continuing with the pre-season sleeper list, this gets us past the "Ls"
Kyeong Kang, OF, Tampa Bay Rays: Hitting .271/.333/.341 in 36 games for Charlotte in the Florida State League. Not much power, plate discipline worse than expected, nowhere close to the .307/.390/.491 mark he put up in 2009.
Nathan Karns, RHP, Washington Nationals: Hasn't pitched.
Pat Lehman, RHP, Washington Nationals: 4.88 ERA at Class A Potomac, with 66/19 K/BB in 63 innings, 61 hits, 1.53 GO/AO, 11 homers. Something of an odd record, good K/IP ratio, gets some grounders, but also gives up a lot of homers.
Robinson Lopez, RHP, Atlanta Braves: 2.88 ERA, 54/24 K/BB in 59 innings,46 hits for Class A Rome. Pitching well, low hit rate, living up to potential.
Brett Lorin, RHP, Pittsburgh Pirates: Hasn't pitched, out with hip injury.

Lopez
Love that kid. #5 pitcher in that stacked Braves organization, probably the 6th overall prospect as well.
My Guys: Gillies, Pacheco, Drabek, Verlander, Ozuna, A Salcedo, S Rodriguez, and others.
Sorta OT
But will their be a suggestion thread this week? I’d love to see some analysis, prospect smackdown comparison of 2 dominating young lefties in the MWL Erlin vs Krol
yeah
Yeah i’ll have one later this week. remind me then.

Lopez
Is Lopez bordering solid B territory yet, or is he more of a B- guy at this point?
B-
I’d say B- right now, B possible by end of year. B+ isn’t impossible either depending on final scouting reports

Which is pretty damn impressive.
How many teams can match up with Atlanta’s ten best pitching prospects?
Teheran, Delgado, Vizcaino, Minor, Kimbrel, Lopez, Spruill, Hoover, DeVall and Dunn. That’s a pretty awesome group of prospects.

How many relievers in this group?
They would be smart to trade some depth for hitting. What happened to the great jordan schafer?
I know that Kimbrel and Dunn are already working in relief
And Hale appears to be on his way there. Spruill probably ends up in relief too if he can’t stay healthy; there are major durability questions with him.
The other six guys are all working exclusively out of the rotation right now.
