This should be a much better game
My prediction is Florida winning a close game, taking advantage of a wild Gerrit Cole. 4-2
Is Cole starting?
From everything I’ve seen, Trevor Bauer is on the mound. Florida will send Alex Panteliodis.

I assumed that Cole was, but you're right
It is Bauer, and that makes it a lot harder for me to pick a winner here.
Looks like FSU will get to face Cole. Rough way to start for them. First Purke, then Cole.

Only if UCLA loses
Either way, I don’t see Florida St being much of an obstacle for either of these teams.
I meant to say that
Looks like I forgot to include that part.

Panteliodis?
What do we know about him?
Coffee. The NEW Performance Enhancing drug for Sport's Writers. Just ask Ken Rosenthal.
Bauer...
does he have a little Lincecumness to him? Could be a pretty high pick next year in a loaded draft?
ETHAN MARTIN!!!!
No
I love me some Trevor Bauer, but next year’s draft is much too deep for him to go in the top 10. Is he even a top 10 college player (not a ranking, just a listing)?
Anthony Rendon
Matt Purke
Taylor Jungmann
Gerrit Cole
Zach Cone
Danny Hultzen
Mikie Mahtook
Jackie Bradley Jr
Sonny Gray
Matt Barnes
George Springer
Brett Mooneyham
Harold Martinez
Jason Esposito
Logan Verrett
Alex Meyer
Jack Armstrong
I’m not saying I’d take every player listed above over Bauer, but I could definitely see them going ahead of him.
bauer
I’d see him as something like a third rounder maybe.

well there's clearly a difference of opinion here
i see a pitcher who throws in the low-90’s (and touches 95), two good if not great off speed pitches (not to mention his slider), and excellent results in the Pac-10. i don’t think teams will be scared off by the strange mechanics after Lincecum.
jar, you make a good case because there are so many excellent talents in the draft next year. personally, I think he’s right up there with Jungmann, Cole, Purke, and Grey for the top pitchers in the class. maybe i’m alone on this thinking, but I see Bauer as a real talent. he might not go in the top 10, but only because it’s such a loaded class.
baseball rules.
My guess is that he'll go in the back half of the first round
I think he’s in the second tier of college starters.
