Call Up's

Sounds like Harrison is going to miss at least one start [if not go to the DL] and Derek Holland will get a well deserved chance at the bigs again on Wed.

Sounds like BigBoiBengie is going to be OK, so no chance for Posey, yet…

Indians

I know he is not a huge prospect, byt Cord Phelps is having a nice day (2-4) and now is hitting .365 on the year (.419 OBP and .919 OPS).

by OscarDog on May 8, 2010 8:55 PM EDT reply actions

curious about him

I have heard some rumblings about him here locally when he was in A ball. I am going to be going to a game next week so I am looking forward to checking him out. The Indians do not have much at 2B so I think it is pretty much a competition between Phelps and Kipnis.

I think that it says a lot about they system that his name does not come up more. I wonder where he would be ranked by BA in a system like KC or Yankees.

Oh, and Joe Gardner promoted to Kinston

And well deserved. He was tearing it up with the Captains.

He left the game

after he was caught steeling for the 6th time. Maybe it was his pride he broke.

If it had anything to do with attempting to steal, that’s not good. That can mess up your digits or wrist if you slide in headfirst. Just speculating of coarse. I hope it’s just a one game thing whatever it is.
