Buster Posey called up by Giants...
It's been confirmed by the other Buster, Buster Olney from ESPN. The Giants have called up top prospect Buster Posey. Word is he will play first base for the time being. He's the first of the super stud prospects to come up to the bigs this season. What does everyone think Buster will do from now until the rest of the season in the bigs? What are some reasonable number expectations for the youngster from Florida State?

Projection
.280/.350/.440 with about 12 home runs if he holds the regular job, putting him in the same general ballpark as James Looney at 1B and maybe a step below Kendry Morales.
12 HR's?
Maybe over a full season, but not only over 350 AB’s.
another financially genius move by SF
why didn’t the higher level of government high Sabes to bring the country out of the economic rut? the dude is an economic mastamind!

I starting to think the concerns over his defense are legitimate
And not just a convenient excuse to keep him in the minors.
Do you think they'd start him and drop Bengie to backup?
The Giants think Molina is a great catcher, and always show extreme deference to their vets.
not sure he's going to hit enough to make this worth it
would rather he spend more time in AAA working on his game calling/receiving with an eye towards being their starting C next season.
the way SF has handled this guy’s development so far – calling him last year to sit on the bench – has baffled me. usually i give the org. the benefit of the doubt but nothing about this had made sense to me so far.
Jason Heyward takes exception to not being a superstud prospect
Or are you just talking about human players, because that is understandable. However, I still take ire at you not mentioning Heyward in the same sentence as superstud.

Posey
everyone is obviously extremely excited to see him-though most of us Giants fan wish he was catching instead of Molina. Also, it’s great to see him start his season 6-9.
