John, a Jose Lima "Prospect Retro"?

In honor of the recently disceased?

Lima was always one of my favorites to watch- always flamboyant, full of energy and enthusiastic.

Yeah

That was awesome!

Way to post 2 freaking sentences about the guy – the one that YOU LOVE SO MUCH – and then a bunch of RIPs.

Amazing work.

Hey, I loved Jose Lima too but the effort on this post, followed by the praise, is pretty stupid. Post your owm tribute! You have an open forum!

I might be out of line

but it seems like you got something stuck up your ass and that is all I will say.

LOL

Hey man, I’m a happy dude but… c’mon!

the guy posts two sentences about a player HE supposedly likes and cant even freaking spell DECEASED.

Then somebody tells him how great his post was. Nothing personal – you guys may be nice folks – but, this was a very, very mediocre effort for a post – almost comicly bad.

No one was commenting on the actual post

Simply the idea.

Even so, whats the point of making a comment like that other than to be an ass? And he didn’t say he loved the guy, rather that he enjoyed watching him because he was like a young kid on the diamond.

Even if you feel the way you do, in a post like this about someone who just passed and it was simply an idea to honor a recently deceased, former MLB player, who passed at way too young an age, keep it inside… no reason to make a comment like that

I am commenting on it

Its retarded

If he likes him – post a tribute! Dont ask John to do it

Take a little time and make a nice post about why you liked Jose Lima so much, Sure Im being an ass but, Its a shitty post. Just saying. There was very little thought put into it – or effort – and it isnt worthy of praise

LOL

So now I’m supposed to post a tribute? Sorry bud, I don’t have the time that you obviously do to just sit around and post on the internet all day.

You have too much time on your hands

I asked for a prospect retro for Lima, people agreed. WTF? Hell, the fact that after you make an ass of yourself you actually argue and debate/defend your idiocy shows that A) you need to get a life, B) you need to relax

by ScottAZ on May 25, 2010 9:06 AM EDT up reply actions

My Bad

I’m sorry Bro

By that deffinition though, anybody who postson here needs to get a life.

Fanpost etiquette

varies from site to site on SB Nation.

Here it is pretty loose. Amazin Avenue they are fairly particular and will tell you if something is post-worthy. On Lookout Landing references to your fantasy team are a no-no. On Let’s Go Tribe they don’t use subject headings for the thread comments (or apparently put much effort in the blog name), whereas the lack of a subject heading on Amazin Avenue is a meme used for mocking mouth-breathin’, Traid David Wrong posts.

I don’t see any problem with requesting a Jose Lima retro and saying you liked his enthusiasm via fanpost with filler. You may have been to other SB blogs where that type of fanpost isn’t par for the course.

What an a-hole comment

and all of the others you made after it

Nice

That would be huge. A very nice tribute, indeed. Thanks, ScottAZ!
