Minor or Green
Who is a better prospect?
Grant Green, SS Oakland A's
Green has been mediocre since being drafted, hitting for little power and showing little speed.
Minor, on the other hand, has been on fire this year, looking like his pure stuff has greatly improved.

Hey guys, I run a music blog. alternative, powerpop, punk, electronica, screamo, etc etc, check it out. http://muzikdizcovery.blogspot.com/ artist interviews and many other stuff. free cookies! (not really, but still) :D
I have flip flopped
Preseason I liked Green more long term. But seeing Minor so far this year I really like him long term to be possibly a #2-3. I think Green will still be a MLB player but more like league average.
Minor
Guy with a nice mix of at least league average sec. offerings plus if reports are true, hitting 95 on the fb, as a LHP, I will take Minor 6 out of 7 days a week. However, I do feel as well, it is too early to make a solid judgment on Green. He plays a premium position and may “potentially” have an above avg. bat.

poll
lazy people may even like a poll better to get a quick and dirty feel who’s better. (that’s what she said)

Minor
He’s done nothing but prove his critics wrong. He IS hitting 95 on his FB and his Change is PLUS PLUS AND he throws a slider. All for strikes. He’s working on a curve as well. The guy is AT THE LEAST a #3 (and he’s going to be a very very good #3). I actually think the Braves will sell high on him and trade for a bat, but you can’t argue with what he’s done this year.
Green, while at a premium position, still hasn’t done much with the bat. I’m still perplexed at his professional development, as the year before when he was at the Cape he was destroying the ball with wooden bats.

well he can't be traded yet, but they could possibly trade him once he's eligible to be

close call
Would go with Minor, but Green is still a solid prospect. Both are pretty safe prospects, but Minor has a better chance of realizing his ceiling.
Not sure there is a pitcher in the Braves’ system I would take over Minor. Delgado and Teheran might have flashier stuff, but Minor is just so much more developed. The difference in raw upside isn’t THAT pronounced.
I don’t think Green looks to be anything great at this point, but I think he’ll end up being a league average shortstop, and that’s got a lot of value.
Teheran was recently promoted to A+ Myrtle Beach, and responded by pitching 7 innings with 12ks, 4hits, and 2BBs. He is 19 and scary.

This thread
Is useless without a poll
I predict that Minor would get at least 75%of the votes, including mine

Surprised its this close when no one has made a cogent argument for Green
Honestly, I don’t even think its close. Green has been terrible in the hitter friendly California League, posting almost 4 times as many strikeouts as walks and a sub .090 ISO. Meanwhile, Minor is doing his thing in AA, leading the minors in strikeouts and consistently showing much better stuff than he did before the draft. I’ll take the more polished LHP sitting in the low 90s with a deep repertoire of average or better secondary pitches over the SS who has shown little ability to hit professional pitching.
