Trading for Minor Leaguers
I currently have Nick Punto on my roster and have no use for him since I am in complete rebuild mode. The team in my league (Texas Rangers) are interested in trading for him. I have dealt with him plenty so far and have plucked probally 8 of his top 10 prospects in different trades (the only ones that I didnt get he had already traded away). I can probally get two of these guys but dont know a whole lot about any of them. Was hoping some Ranger fans could help me pick two of them that would most likely help me at the MLB level in the future. Timetable is not really that important since my whole team is minor leaguers so it is going to take some time for them to get the the big leagues anyways. Here is the best he has left:
Miguel Velazquez
Carlos Pimentel
Robbie Erlin
Tommy Mendonca
Chad Tracy
Neil Ramirez
Also if you can think of any little known type names in the Rangers that have a high ceiling let me know and he might still own their rights as well.
Appreciate any help that you can provide.

How far out are you taking?
Out of your current list I would take Velazquez and Erlin.
Guys that you could also target as long term projects:
Robbie Ross
Tommy Mendonca
Alexi Ogando and Omar Beltre (guys that finally got their Visa’s due to the marriage scandal 5 years ago and are being fast tracked as relievers. Both are potential closer type stuff guys)
and the recent LA siginigs of Jurickson Profar, Jorge Alfaro and Luis Sardinas

Some of those guys are available
I have already traded for: Robbie Ross and Jurickson Profar. The rest of the guys are available still. Right now I am tossing up between
Erlin
Velasquez
Sardinas (forgot about him)
Chad Tracy (numbers look good but know very little about him)
and I have to admit I have never heard of Jorge Alfaro signing. I know nothing about him. Is he somebody to seriously consider now?
Alfaro
I’ve heard nothing but hype about him. Supposedly has amazing bat speed. Could make a first year Montero like surge. Not saying he will be Montero, but Montero’s first year hype seems possible.
Hey guys, I run a music blog. alternative, powerpop, punk, electronica, screamo, etc etc, check it out. http://muzikdizcovery.blogspot.com/ artist interviews and many other stuff. free cookies! (not really, but still) :D
Yeah.. hes a guy that is going to be still a long way out
but if you are taking fliers, he is definitely one to take a look at… He is already considered one of the top if not the top C prospect in the Texas minors after Tellis had TJ,,,
He is another buy low long range guy depending on how deep the minor leagues are for you guys
