Am i missing anyone? seems to be a pretty light day... and Logan Morrison appears to be missing from the lineup again. oddish. anyone have anything on that?
And I think we can start sharing some daily stats for rookie eligibile /still prospectish players... [aside from Heyward, whose stats someone usually posts]. Since we don't have a daily mlb thread, and a lot of the younger guys are still kinda like prospects, or are still developing or trying to win jobs.

some other names that i was interested with
thomas diamond, alberto cabrera, and jon nagel – certainly, part of it is because they are Cubs. But there were positive reports on Diamond and Cabrera this spring. Nagel’s a big horse that has a good sinker and has another year away from surgery. Decent outing for Nagel so far.
Nick Hill, Connor Graham, Chorye Spoone, Richard Bleier, Brayan Villerreal, Brad Hand, Bobby Lanigan all interest me somewhat.
To a certain extent, Cole Rohrbough and Jeff Locke still intrigue me. I like Maikel Cleto.
Curious how Fabian Williamson develops.
Trevor Holder’s a nice looking arm.
Font, Main, and Kirkman
all going for the Rangers teams in addition to Bleier.

Anyone knows who goes for the Pawsox tonight?

Turner continues to be good
4 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
might as well just add this to the 09 draftees . . .
Hobgood gets the win: 5 2/3 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, gave up a homer to Kyle Skipworth.
seems decent
Hobgood doesn’t have the raw power arm that you see in a Turner or a Shelby Miller, but he’s still got some very nice things to offer.
Interesting to see Skipworth doing much better so far in repeating the Sally League. He’s making more contact and showing better plate discipline, which is letting his great power show. Still wondering how his defense will end up.
rehab for Kuo?
Perhaps he’ll be on in relief?
Incorrect
Kuo went 5 innings, and Martin didn’t come in for relief. I wonder if he will go tomorrow.
no he didn't
it’s just milb.com screwing up, take away Kuo’s 1st inning w/ 0 base runners and 2k and I bet you have ethan’s start
ethan martin went
4 innings 4 Ks 1 walk 3 runs 2 ER
xavier avery
BB, 1B, 2B, SB, R
Encouraging start. He’s something like the 5th youngest in the league.
Correct.
6 walks so far, 5 strikeouts. Took him 4 games to take 4 walks, took him a month to do that last season. LJ Hoes 2nd youngest in the league.

Cubs Notables
Daytona wins 2-1.
Alberto Cabrera – 6.1 ip, 6 h, 1 r, 7 K’s, 7:3 GO/FO. There’s a decent amount of intrigue by Cubs fans. I admit, I know very little about him. Wasn’t even really on my radar until he was named BA’s 31st guy in the org. Before that, all i knew was that he had a live arm. Then, there were reports in the spring suggesting that he was looking really, really good.
Brett Jackson: 1/4, 1 BB. Power isn’t there yet, but the 9:4 BB/K in 30 AB’s looks nice, along with the positive reports about his judgment and discipline.
Kyler Burke: 2/5, 1 2B, 1 R, 3 K’s.
Josh Vitters/DJ LeMahieu both 0/4, DJ with a BB, Josh with a K.
Peoria lost 8-6.
Hak-ju Lee: 2/5, 1 R, 1 K.
Jon Nagel: 4 ip, 3 h, 3 bb, 7:2 GO/FO, 1 K, 2 R,1 unearned.
Tennessee won 8-4.
Starlin Castro: 1/5, 2 RBI, 1 K. So far, .333/.353/.485 (yes, SSS)
Robinson Chirinos: 3/4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI, E. Older, but made a late move to C, and there have been positive reports on his glove.
Brandon Guyer: 0/1, 1 R, 3 BB.
Iowa won 7-5.
Thomas Diamond was noted above.
Darwin Barney: 2/4, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 SB.
Welington Castillo: 2/3, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI, E, PO, HBP.

Wilmer Flores
2-3, BB, 364/382/424
First BB of the year, yet also hasn’t K’d yet in 33 AB with little power so far. Is he just concentrating on making contact? I’d be interested to hear anyone who has seen him yet this year.
