Writeup w/ video of Ethan Martin's first start
This is not my blog but I figured it should get some exposure. In this game Martin was unhittable going 5IP 3H 0R 0BB 9k.
A 2 way player in high school, last year was basically his first year pitching full time. It seems like the Dodgers might be taking the kiddie handles off him. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes it to AA by June.

I’m going to the game tomorrow and Miller’s supposed to start. I’ll give another scouting report if he does!

did u see millers start today?
do you know why he came out after only 4 innings?
Definitely.. . .
a lot more promising arms in the Cal this league than bats. I was going to try to catch Miller vs Kazmir, but went to a high school game instead, was too tired to catch a second game.
i know,
i saw that. . .i’m sure I’ll see him soon though. (can’t wait too long, w/ my luck he’ll get moved up)

it's a dirty pitch
I like to get video from that angle to check out their stuff. Angel stadium is cool too, bc you can get right behind the visiting catcher in the pen. .

Martin's 2nd start
Just got back from the Inland Empire game. I was expecting Jon Michael Redding to pitch so I didn’t realize until the 3rd or 4th inning that Ethan Martin was on the mound. He pitched a very solid game, going 6 innings without giving up a run. I haven’t seen the box score yet, but I know he only gave up 2 hits and I believe he struck out 5 or 6 while walking 2 or 3. I talked to one of the guys charting pitches and apparently his fastball was between 92-96, his curve from 76-80, and his slider from 84-87. His delivery is entirely effortless and his curve has great bite to it. If he can sharpen his command a bit this kid could be a stud starter.
Hmmm
maybe it was his 3rd start. Either way, he pitched tonight :)
