Talk me out of this deal

This is a 12 team H2H Dynasty League with LF/CF/RF positioning.  I have been offered Nate McLouth for Carlos Zambrano.  Currently my CF spot is manned by Cargo with Desmond Jennings waiting in the wings.  My pitching staff is not strong (Kazmir/Sanchez/Harang/T. Hudson/R. Romero/Pineiro/H. Bailey and Zambrano.  I also have prospects, Feliz/Chapman/Friedrich/D. Hudson and J. Mejia).

Even though SP adds an extra premium in H2H I would like to make this move.  Can someone talk me out of accepting this deal.

Why?

Why would you want Nate McLouth for Zambrano? Cargo/Jennings will at least give you the same if not more production than McLouth. Not sure what you like about it the offer, I wouldn’t even think about it if it was offered to me.

+1

You have about the equivalent of McLouth already and need to keep your pitching, why even think about it.

about equal

If you ask me. McClouth is an average outfielder at best, and Big Z is on a steady decline…so you’re both basically swapping similar value.

I might hold onto Big Z just because your pitching might need an extra boost down the road.

I'd probably take McLouth...

and try to deal him for a different pitcher. Big Z just isn’t doing it these days, and I’d bet I could turn McLouth into a pitcher I like a bit better.

ask yourself why is he making this deal

maybe its because he feels McLouth is at a premium right now and Zambrano is at a low. Now do you still want to do the deal …

Z Decline?

I don’t see the steady decline you do, he’s not quite what he was but he is still an above average pitcher, his K/9 returned to career norms last year so I don’t see this inevitable fall off the cliff.
