I hate writing in, but I don’t like the current choices at all. I almost talked myself into voting for Weeks, but I think it’s too early for him.
It was Hagadone or Reddick for me
Are there questions with Hagadone? Of course, but we’re at #83, and he cam back strong last year. At his best, the potential looks excellent. He should be stronger, physically, this year. Is there risk? Of course, but a potential power lefty number 2 starter is intriguing enough to justify here, IMO.
The Indians are building him up to the point where he can go for 5 innings. There are no more restrictions, though they are still careful with him. He’ll likely start in High A, but he should move pretty quickly if he shows he’s completely healthy and able to handle the workload. They will give him every chance to prove himself as a starter before potentially moving him to the pen.
Guys with his potential don’t come along all that often.
