My Teams Future
In the next couple of seasons I will need a second base and a starting pitcher. I have the choice of Dustin Ackley or Aroldis Chapman. Who do I go with? Who is going to be the biggest fantasy contributor? I expect people to say Dustin Ackley due to him playing second base and that traditionally being a weak position. But with that said, is it worth passing up a potential ace for him?
Thanks

Ackley
what comes around more often, a stud middle infielder or a pitcher.

I think it depends on whether or not you project Ackley to stay at 2nd base
I, personally, do think that Ackley sticks at 2b. But clearly there is risk with Chapman as well (are the scouting reports accurate, will he remain a starter, etc). I’d have to go with Ackley, simply based upon the fact that I think there’s a far more likely chance that he reaches a level of playability in a league than chapman is.
You’re name has 2k9 in it — what are you some 8 year-old who makes Pillsbury Doughboy cookies and jerks off to that bullshit video game with Tim Lincecum on the cover--

Ackley
Great hitters don’t come along everyday. Pitchers are more frequent, albeit Chapman has tremendous upside. Go with Ack

Chapman
1. 2B isn’t nearly as shallow as it used to be
2. No guarantee Ackley sticks at 2B
