Rookie Class of 2010 best prospect for future performance #16
I've been giving each round a full day, but with this round not particularly close I am going to pull the plug a bit faster and get a new one up: The results of this round were
Jaime Garcia 44%, Wade Davis 21%, Neil Walker 9%, Ryan Kalish 9%, Ike Davis 9%, Austin Jackson 5%, Gaby Sanchez 2%, Mitch Moreland 0%, Michael Brantely 0%
and the standings to this point are now:
1. Jason Heyward, outfielder Atlanta Braves
2. Buster Posey, catcher San Francisco Giants
3. Stephen Strasburg, pitcher Washington Nationals
4. Carlos Santana, catcher Cleveland Indians
5. Michael Stanton, outfielder Florida Marlins
6. Madison Bumgarner, pitcher San Francisco Giants
7. Starlin Castro, shortstop Chicago Cubs
8. Brian Matusz, Pitcher Baltimore Orioles
9. Pedro Alvarez, third base, Pittsburgh Pirates
10. Neftali Feliz, pitcher, Texas Rangers
11. Logan Morrison, outfielder Florida Marlins
12. Jhoulys Chacin, pitcher Colorado Rockies
13. Daniel Hudson, pitcher Arizona Diamondbacks
14. Justin Smoak, first base, Seattle Mariners
15. Jaime Garcia, pitcher St Louis Cardinals
Based on this round's voting I am going to temporarily drop Mitch Moreland and Michael Brantley. I am going to bring back Jose Tabata, Danny Valencia and Jonathon Niese, and for the first time add Brennan Boesch.
temporarily dropped players: Carlos Carassco 0% (12), Travis Wood 0% (13)Michael Saunders 0% (13), John Axford 0% (14), Mike Leake 0% (14), Peter Bourjos 0% (14), Jake Arrieta 0% (14), Mitch Moreland 0% (15), Michael Brantley 0% (15)
.Players who have been suggested for addition in coming rounds include Josh Thole, Johnny Venters, Drew Storen, John Jaso and Andrew Cashner. Other players that I am looking at adding soon are Reid Brignac, Tyler Colvin, Brett Wallace and Alexi Ogando. If you have any preferences among this group, I am probably going to add two of them next round, so even if you are not quite ready to vote for them, you can discuss the order that they should be added below.
As a reminder voting is by +1. Please add write in votes in the space provided

The guy is an above average MLB CF. Even when his BABIP stabilizes, he’s going to have value. Especially if he can increase his contact percentage somewhat closer to what he did in the minors. I think he’s a safer bet to put up future performance than some we’ve already voted on, though with perhaps a lower ceiling.

If knowledge is the key, then just show me the lock.
Got the scrawny legs but I move just like Lou Brock.
Kalish for me, I dont see anybody else cept maybe Davis being better
If you didn't know by now, my screen name is sarcastic
where's craig kimbrel?
he was a rookie. he might still have rookie eligibility left, does that preclude him?
exactly right
although he got close he didn’t go over any of the lines and still has his rookie eligibility for next year. That makes him eligible for the community prospect list and not for this list.
Should Kimbel be on list?
I also wondered about C K.
Chris Tillman
at least needs to be considered, sometime soon
