More trouble with Latin players
We've all heard of the Age Gate scandals... Then there was the Washington Nats scandal. I wonder just how pervasive this kind of thing is among all the MLB teams. Sounds like Kenny Williams and Co. caught wind of it and took appropriate action a few years ago. I'm sure more details / additional scandals similar to this will be forthcoming soon.

maybe a different title would be better?
More problems with Bonus Skimming, perhaps?

Remember: baseball guys... baseball...
Don't see why.
It’s another scandal involving Latin America. Age Gate has more or less run it’s course – now this seems to have replaced it as the way players from Latin America are being over paid / screwing the system.
This isn't new though, and your title isn't descriptive.

Jesus...(pronounce as Hey - Zeus)
I’m not looking to win any Pulitzers ;)
While it isn’t new, it does now show that the Nats incident was not isolated, so in that sense it is while at the same time it does seem to be a Latin America problem.
It's not a big deal
But to me, it sounded initially like some Latin players had committed the crimes, when the focus is really on the executives in this case.

"now show"?
as you seem to know yourself, this was news two and half years ago when these guys got fired.
That's not true
When they were fired, it was said that it was because they were already under federal investigation for skimming the bonuses of Latin prospects. At that point, the MLB Department of Investigations had already raised internal questions in the White Sox organization.
I lived in Chicago back when Wilder was fired, and generally most people knew why that happened.

They talk about it in this ESPN OTL story from Sep. 2008
Former White Sox scout Victor Mateo, who was fired for his part in the scheme, tells “Outside the Lines” that Wilder directed him to overstate the talent of certain players, thus boosting their value and potential signing bonuses. That extra money, then, could go back to Wilder and Mateo.
