not bad all around

but F martrinez is in the bigs and you have Lyes twice lol

people are dropping feliz wayyyy too much. get a grip!! haha

I had had Feliz higher

around the 15 range, until I heard he was moved to the pen. It would resonate between the two spots accordingly.

Feliz's move to the pen is temporary

Similar to what TEX did with Holland. It’s a way to limit his innings and get him to the majors faster.

I do understand the ranking if you think that it’ll be permanent or it’ll stunt his secondary pitch and control development, though.

I cannot trust a lot of the Rangers moves

so I am leaving Feliz at 35 until I see him starting again, when he would go back to the 15 range [unless he completely blows up or becomes lights out].

Brett Wallace

Just throw Wallace into one of Jordan Lyles spots(preferably #28) and you can fix two mistakes at one time.

that's funny

that is what is says on my word file – I did it on word then copied and pasted it – but I guess something messed up in transfer.

rondon might be in the bigs

in the next couple of weeks depending on how the indians’ rotation plays out… so you might want to get ready to scratch him off the list

Really that's sick

As a reliever or starter? I already have one flaw [F-Mart], so more should also happen.

Dom Brown...

gets hurt for a few weeks and drops completely off of everyone’s lists.

19?

is completely off of a list?

I think before

But I accidentally left F-Mart. I was planning on talking on you when I looked over your top-50 and hopefully have a nice discussion.

Another solid list,

I’d only prefer to see Lawrie further up the list.

Kasey Kiker and Brad Lincoln deserve some love.

Would replace McCalister and Knapp.

Good list in general though

by novaoakland on Jul 7, 2009 11:37 AM EDT reply actions

Carrasco

I think is a bit of an overrank. I know folks like him, and he has been unlucky with the hit rate and the fly/homer rate. But, his fip is lower than, say, jon Niese, and his tRA* as well. In fact he is 26th in regressed tRA, right ahead of Swarzak and right behind Rodrigo Lopez. Niese is 8th.

Not saying he shouldn’t rank ahead of Niese based on whatever reasoning you’d have…although it would make for an interesting argument. Just that 13 is awfully high. I know you aren’t counting guys in the majors, which scothes a lot of guys well ahead of him in tRA off the list: David Hernandez, Virgil Vazquez, etc.

Good List

Alderson at 12? I am a Giants fan, and I think thats way too high.

Wilber Bucardo: Carlos Silva with a younger brother.

by gianator on Jul 7, 2009 4:12 PM EDT reply actions

He's one of the safest guys up there

and I am also a Giants fan [vote for pablo] and the numerical rankings are a little skewed because of the omission of players in the MLB
