June 11, 2009 MiLB Thread
Nobody posted anything so far, so I thought I would, considering that these produce some of the best content on the site. Notable pitchers today: Jon Niese, Shairon Martis, Adam Eaton, Sidney Ponson, Shawn Chacon, and Kris Benson (really? they still play?), Jeremy Papelbon, David Purcey, Kevin Pucetas, Daniel Hudson, Andrew Brackman, Jason Knapp, Stolmy Pimentel, and Ross Seaton.
However, easily, the top-prospect matchup of the day goes to:
Zachary McAllister against Tim Alderson at San Francisco's AA Connecticut.

Sometimes it’s good for a young pitcher to have bad games. But maybe not THIS bad.

Time to promote the 23 year old and see if he can handle some breaking balls in AA?

Just curious why the guy gets no love on this site. Never a mention on any list.
He's definitely underrated
But I worry that his command will keep him from being truly effective as a big leaguer.
Norris
I was at the game & Norris had a no hitter through 5 1/3. Gave up a triple to some skinny lefty named Raburn. Thought Norris looked solid but he fell apart in the 6th. He threw the ball into right field on a Joe Koshansky safety squeeze bunt. (Actually pretty hilarious to see Koshansky lay down a squeeze bunt.)
Anyways, Nashville’s lineup is not very strong but I did think Norris looked solid.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again.

With my personal relations.
They are not deep
And they are not cheap.
