Just wanted to say that I love these threads...
It’s the main reason why I come back each day, so thanks to everyone who keeps it going!
Meanwhile, Latos is awesome. So where do people think he’ll end up in the top 100 if he ends the year with a sub 1 WHIP, sub 2 ERA, 1k/IP, and under 2 BB/9?
I’m thinking it’d be tough to keep him out of the top ten if he posts a line like that. What do you think?
Poster formerly known as artie
If he has an ERA under 2 in AA, sure
But I don’t think he will. He’s a terrific prospect, but probably more in the 20-30 range than top 10

He's in the top 15
And maybe the top 10 if Bumgarner and Tillman get the call this year at some point.
they're not calling up Bumgarner or Alderson this year
so says vice president of baseball operations Bobby Evans in a radio interview

Martin Perez
5 inn, 2 R (0 ER), 5 K, 4 H, 2 BB. On pace for the win too would put him at 4-5. On pace to be a top-40 or 30 prospect in my opinion.
Adoptive parent of Kyle Nicholson
Brock Bond
SF Giants 2B playing at AA Connecticut as a 24 year old (born on 9-11-85).

Slash Line is .333/.425/.402 (.827 OPS for you math whizzes).

Austin Bibens-Dirkx – 5.1 ip, 3 h, 2 K’s. Okay, he’s a retread signed from Indy League, but 5.1 shutout is something to note.
David Macias – 3/5, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K.
Ryan Flaherty – 2/4, 2 R, 1 K. After two down months, he seems to be heating up again.
Rebel Ridling – 2/3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K.
Kyler Burke – 2/4, 1 R, 1 HR, 4 RBI.
Boise and Vancouver are 0-0 in the 2nd. Cubs are throwing a good young lefty arm in Jeffry Antigua.
DSL Mets beat DSL Cubs2 11-6.
Joel Altagracia – 1/3, R, 2B, RBI, BB, K. Day after his first big game (4/5, 3 R, 2 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI), he followed up with a solid outing. He was the Cubs main Latin American item last year.
DSL Cubs1 beat DSL Padres 10-0.
Albert Hernandez – 3/5, 3 R, 1 K. Two straight years of being a plus hitter in the DSL ranks. Would love to seem him stateside next year.

Travis Wood?
He’s been getting a lot of love lately (#5 on BA Hot Sheet) and for good reason, posting a ridiculous, seriously, RIDICULOUS 1.29 ERA with a 95/37 K/BB rate over 112 IP in AA-Carolina. We are leaving small sample-size territory with wood, he’s always had the talent to be a frontline pitcher and to be doing what he’s doing at AA as a 22-year-old southpaw really is exciting.
My question is — What’s his ceiling and how does he compare to Zach Stewart?
Thanks
