Tom Glavine released by the Braves
Sad to see the end of a Hall of Fame career but this move had to be done. Glavine had nothing left on his fastball and Tommy Hanson is waiting in the wings. I think Hanson might have one start left in the minors. Do you think it's Tommy Hanson's time to be called up what do you guys think?

Good move
I was worried that Medlen would be moved to the bullpen to accommodate him.

Medlen, Hanson...
Could be a scary-good and YOUNG rotation to start the 2010 season (or even finish this one…). I still think the Giants 2010/11 rotation is more menacing but these two teams — and even the Marlins for that matter — are shaping up to have incredibly strong pitching rotations over the next several seasons.
How would you guys rate / rank those three? Am I overlooking any other NL teams that have such a nice combination of youth & talent?

Yes, Nationals
could be excellent, depending on their 2 picks. + Detwiler + Zimmerman + Martis + Lannon + Lannon + Mock, 5 of them should become MLB starters, how good is the question.

The Braves Rotation in 2010
Lowe/Vazquez/Jurrjens/Hanson/Medlen + an option on Hudson and Campillo/Morton/Reyes as depth. That’s a pretty impressive accumulation of talent. Their outfield is embarrassing though.

n/m
Looks like Morton just got traded for McClouth. I like Morton a lot more than Reyes.

I know it might make sense for the organization
But this is just such a disrespectful and classless move by the Brave’s management. Glavine is one of the faces of their franchise, and his sudden release is just in poor taste. Just my opinion

better than running him out there a few times
and getting smacked around.

I agree actually
I’m a Braves fan, and if you’re going to have Glavine go through the trouble of rehab and everything, you’ve got to at least let him go out there and get shelled for 3 innings before releasing him. Maybe there’s more to come, but it looks bad for Wren at this point, especially after the Smoltz fiasco in the off-season.
