6/24 MILB Thread
Here are some starting pitchers to track throughout the day and night
Wade Davis (in progress), Scott Olsen Triple A rehab, Mike Bowden, David Hernandez, Clayton Mortensen, Yusmiero Petit, Carlos Gutierrez, Jenmar Gomez, Jarrod Parker, Zach Stewart, John Ely, Yohan Flande, Dellin Betances, Jeff Allison, and David Bromberg .
As usual, there may be others as teams begin to list starters but that's the bulk of them. No MWL, SAL today.

Neftali Feliz to the AAA bullpen
"We’d like to see if he’s an option to help the Major League club in that role," general manager Jon Daniels said. "He’s scheduled to throw an inning there tomorrow. We still feel he may start for us in the future but we’re going down that road first."
The 2009 Texas Rangers offense: sigh...
Carlos Perez
The IFA top lefty in 2008 for the Braves is off to a bad start but he’s just 17, here’s his line.
3 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K – He also had 2 WP, 1 HBP and a Balk
Jason Cristian ss/3b 5th rd 08 draft
Considering the tough hitting MWL, i think he’s been pretty good. May was awful, good april, and hitting great in june.
Twins GCL team
I know its only GCL…
But their GCL team threw a No hitter today, winning 5-0.
Starting Pitcher B.J. Hermsen a well thought of pitcher, given a 600K + bonus last year pitched 6 perfect innings. A nice first start to his career, to be part of a no hitter.
Lincoln
6.2 2 1 1 3 4. Yeah, he wasn’t facing the greatest lineup in the world tonight, but it looks like he was ready. Looking at Snell-Ohlendorf-Karstens, there’s gotta be a rotation spot awaiting him in September unless he’s pitched too much by then.
Eric Arnett is also making his pro debut tonight for Helena
He’ll only go a couple innings, though.
It was a great selection of awesome.
Arnett was terrible, just third-rounder Josh Prince wasn't
2-3 with a double and two walks and, get this, six steals.
It was a great selection of awesome.
1 IP, 2 BBs, 0 Ks, 1 H, 2 ER for Arnett
Odorizzi didn’t do much better with 4 IP, only 1 strikeout and 3 walks, for 5 ERs.

David Hernandez
Any word on why he left after throwing 4 no hit innings? Only 40 pitches, 4 ks, zero bbs.
Now raise your goblet of rock. It's a toast to those who rock!
Jeff Allison
What is his story? 1st Round pick in 2003 but is only in A+ ball as a 24 year old. Has be battled injuries?
+1

Big game for Colvin
Likely won’t be up again, Tennessee up 6-0 on Montgomery in the bottom of the 8th as I type.
Colvin: 3/4, 3 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K.
Casey Coleman: 6 ip, 4 h, 1 bb, 4 K’s – continuing his solid season after getting pushed to AA this year.
Daytona beat Lakeland 3-2 in 8 in game 1.
Tony Campana: 3/4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, SB, CS, PO.
Brandon Guyer: 2/4, 1 R, 2 2B.
Iowa lost to New Orleans 5-2, giving up all 5 in the 8th and 9th.
Esmailin Caridad: 4ip, 1 h, 1 bb, 5 K.
Steve Clevenger: 1/4, 1 R, 1 2B.
Do you think Colvin has turned the corner?
I was a big believer in him and still am, even after his struggles. Do you think he’s on his way back to being a good prospect, or is he still more likely to become just a 4th outfielder?
I am like your Dan Aykroyd and biglow would be Jane, the ignorant slut. -Chad
Has he turned the corner?
Eh … I hope so, but put it this way – I think he’s improved, but I’m not sure yet if he’s turned the corner on becoming a potential regular corner OF in the bigs. Gotta see how his discipline holds up, relative to his production, for the rest of the year. I could see a hot streak leading the Cubs to push him to Iowa perhaps.
Kind of a weird question
Hopefully it isn’t out of place…
Is there a website that exists that allows me to track minor league players on a day to day basis? Barring that, is there some way I can get box scores sent to an RSS feed or email?
that;s gotta be the coolest thing I've ever seen
Thanks!

Just keeps rolling.
If you like Cahill but not Zep, there’s something wrong with you.
Gio Gonzalez
Did anybody catch his game? His surface stats were pretty unimpressive (3.2 IP, 10 Hs, 6Ks, 2BB, 1 HR, 4 ER), but the high hit count strikes me as odd (on balls in play, the Giants hit 9/14, or around .630). Was he getting knocked around or were these relatively lucky hits?

he created his own mess
2 strikes hung curveball to aurilia
a guy who rarely walks and swings 1st pitch , threw a meatball fastball to schierholtz
error throw to 2nd by him
run didnt score but holliday kicked around a ball in lf
a normal rf (not jack cust would gotten a bloop to rf) and prevented a hit
gio was throwing 90-93mph, good curve. he had no chance and trouble throwing his changeup.
Ike Davis with the walkoff double for Binghamton
He has hit well since being promoted (albeit a small sample)
