6/13 MILB Thread

Here are some starting pitchers to track throughout the day and night:

Chris Tillman, Michael Bowden, Brett Cecil, Clayton Mortensen, Yusmiero Petit, Dana Eveland, Madison Bumgarner, Juinichi Tazawa, Jordan Smith, John Ely, Jarrod Parker, Lance Lynn, Esmil Rogers, Kasey Kiker, Michael Main, Juan Ramirez, Cole Rohrbough, Mike Montgomery, Jack McGeary, J.J Hoover, Brett Marshall, and Wilfredo Boscan.

As is often the case, there may be a few others as MILB adds names to the scoreboard pages but these are the bulk of them.

He must have learned how to pitch from Mazzaro.

They only gave him 2 shots in the majors

And he was unusually unlucky – a BABIP over .400. He didn’t pitch wonderfully, but his FIP in the majors (granted, small sample size) was below 4.00. I don’t understand why the As don’t simply stick with him in the majors

He’s got a 6.7 BB/9 in the majors. Still, giving him more time in the majors might be the best thing for him. It seems to be working for Cahill. I have to admit, I was one of the people who thought he should have been demoted, but he’s really improved. Maybe Gio could do the same.
