Logan Morrison and other filler...

Any word on where he is at in the healing process and when he is expected to return?

As a side note, to try to get enough words to get this post out there, Christian Freidrich appears to have been promoted to High-A finally.

Also, any word or thoughts on when teams would be promoting Yonder Alonso to Double-A, Desmond Jennings to Triple-A or Buster Posey to somewhere with more than 1 A in it?

And yes, I am shamelessly trying to get more info on my keeper league minor leaguers!

Posey

His numbers on the year have been solid, but check his April/May splits:

April: .366/.447/.646

May: .258/.327/.416

My guess is that his promotion schedule may not be based on production as much as some other players, but his recent performance has been very average. Hopefully he regains some of that April form, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay in San Jose until he does.

ha

i have Morrison and Alonso in my keeper leagues as well.

I’d keep Alonso down for now. Doing well now in a tough power league, but not super dominant. Only 25 at bats v lefties, and not great in that tiny sample. A little home road split, weaker on the road.

Good eye shown, but not the downright sick walk rate from college.

He isn’t super young for the Fla St. league, and that league does supress power.

I’d wait until late summer at least. Looks like Smoak is indeed the better hitter. And if folks thought Hosmer was close, well, he is a ways of.

Morrison, don’t know when he’ll return.
