Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

RIP Nick Adenhart

I'm sorry I didn't change this post sooner (it originally was discussing Adenhart's repertoire, 2009 outlook and a comparison following his great outing against Oakland).

I made the post about an hour before I learned Adenhart died.  Looking back at it, it really makes me even more sad.  One minute I was looking forward to a bright future from the kid and then almost literally the next minute he's gone.

Anyways, RIP Nick.  22 is way to young.

TMZ article

Just reading the article. Apparently someone else in the Angels organization was in the car with him and died as well.

Unbelievable

I don’t know what to say. This is very sad news. My prayers are with his family and the whole organization.

Damage

Pictures of the accident.

That kind of damage is difficult to explain. I hope the man or women who fled the scene is prosecuted to the fullest extend.

Wow...

looking at the damage done to the car Adenhart was in, and knowing he was in the passenger seat, it would be surprising if anyone had survived the accident while sitting in that seat. So unfortunate for all those involved.

I’m still in shock. Seeing that picture with the covered body of one of the people in the crash…so horrible. RIP

At least they caught the guy that hit them… such a shame. My condolences to his family and teammates.

Just terrible

Had his whole life ahead of him, not to mention a bright baseball future. His HS was about 20 miles from mine. Condolences to his family.

RIP

Makes one think long and hard about my own children and how they could be ripped away at any moment.

Life is short and time with family is precious.
