Clayton Kershaw big year?
So far this year in 2 starts. 12inn 19k 5bbi 3ha 1.50era 0.67whip.(no desicions yet though) I remember reading earlier this year (maybe on this site) that Kershaw could be poised for a Tim Lincecum type breakout this year. I realize this is only two starts into the season but man did he look filthy his last start.
When I read about the Lincecum type breakout I thought wow that would be awesome. His next start is Monday night against the Astros. Does he keep on dominating? What kind of a season do you think he is gonna have?
Is this the year Kershaw makes himself a household name? Can you see 2k10 with him on the cover?
By the way I hate 2k baseball games but love the last cover with Lincecum on it...COME BACK TO THE BASEBALL SIDE EA SPORTS!!!

Go Pistons!
or Go Injuries. Whatever.
I dont think Kershaw has a Lincecum year in him, not yet at least. I see more of a 2008 Chad Billingsley season…
and YES, of course he dominates again against the Astros!

Rick Ankiel
2000 sans meltdown.
In what St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa called a "big day" for his club, starter Chris Carpenter took the mound for his first session of live batting practice and promptly buzzed the fuzz on catcher Jason LaRue’s chin with an errant fastball.
"Sorry," Carpenter called from the mound.
"Don’t say you’re sorry," LaRue barked back.
"He said it," pitching coach Dave Duncan said from the side of the cage, "but he didn’t mean it."

He could be dominant, but I don’t think he’ll do quite like he did against the Giants. The Astros lineup is much, much different than the Giants lineup. The Giants lineup features 2 starters batting in the .100’s and 2 more just above .200. He was pretty damn good against them, but take into account he was playing a team thats been hitting like a little league team.
