+1

although if you’re looking for wins, I’d take McDonald because he should have respectable numbers anyway, on a team that doesn’t suck majorly

I'd say whoever wins the 5th starter spot between

Cahill and Anderson

+ they’re obviously both in a pitchers Ball Park!

But yeah I Really am starting to like James McDonald more and more!

Cahill and Anderson will probably both make the rotation out of ST

Duke is on the DL, Gio is also hurt. So after Eveland, Braden and Gallagher, you have Edgar Gonzalez, Brett Anderson, Trevor Cahill, and Josh Outman.

Looks like Anderson and Cahill — though I definitely don’t believe that Cahill is ready. If you’re choosing between those two, I’d definitely take Anderson.

I think

E. Gonzalez is out of the running for a roster spot. As for Anderson and Cahill, I think both will start the year in the majors but I don’t think either one is ready. And although I haven’t seen either one pitch this spring, just to platy devil’s advocate, Cahill has better h/9, k/9 and bb/k than Anderson right now.

I don't know

Seems to me like Cahill is underdeveloped and Anderson doesn’t have the capacity for fantasy numbers like McDonald and Zimmerman do. Being on a pretty crappy team doesn’t help.

Hanson then Mcdonald

Those rookies are all in pitcher friendly settings, and McDonald will benefit from Manny’s offence, but Atlanta generally gets good results from their rookies pitchers.
Hanson’s rookie performance should fall somewhere between Jurrjens and JoJo Reyes, and with his four pitch repertoire he might even do better.
I do like McDonald to have the best peripherals but see Hanson as the safe pick and wouldn’t even consider the other three guys for now.

zimmerman

as of now i think zimmerman will produce the best numbers this yr. hanson is looking a bit rusty, doesn’t have the command or stuff he showed in the afl yet. cahill is an interesting pick, just not sure if he’ll have enough playing time this yr.

I'd Take McDonald...

I think he is getting overlooked here. Due to the higher regarded prospects were comparing here.

He pitches for the best team, ina great pitchers park, and also has some major league experience under his belt. He may not be the best long term option but for this season hes got pretty good potential

Anderson

assuming it’s a keeper league and you’re thinking long term, I take Anderson.
