I didn't order it
But it just dawned on me. You should totally pdf it and sell it for $25 flat.
Arrived in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
Post office had stamped “arrived damaged” on the mailer, and the mailer was majorly torn in two places, but the book was in excellent condition.
Actually, USPS stamped this:
“RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION”
but I have no complaints. Thanks!!!!

Nothing yet in Los Angeles
Hopefully tomorrow!
Yes
I wasn’t expecting it yet, but it arrived today in upstate NY.
Received
I got mine today. It’s the first time I’ve bought it and I’m really excited.
Thanks John, Jeri, and all else involved.
It's a happy day in Schaumburg, IL
I’m going through the book right now!
Houston, Tx
Just got it in the mail today. First time orderer, WOW, what a ton of information.
Thanks!!
Electronic version
I would buy an electronic version of the book. Something searchable. Maybe with a master spreadsheet.
electronic
Electronic versions open us up to people sharing books with those who don’t order them. We can’t afford that.

I know
I understand the risks of electronic publication. On the other hand, right now I am sending you $0. If there was an electronic version, I would be sending you money for it.
So it’s a question of how many more people would send you money (me) vs how many fewer people would not because they might acquire an electronic version. I wish I knew the answer to that equation.
I would likely pay a small amount of money for a 2008 guide as a .pdf., but what I really want is a searchable electronic version of John Sickles’ current brain. Maybe with a master spreadsheet.

I can understand
I know why you don’t put a 2009 pdf out there. But why not sell PDF’s of the old versions like you used to? I liked that.
Got it
Delivered in West Virginia today! Thanks.
Got it...
And BTW I hope you never change the cover!!!!
Indiana
Got mine
As for feedback, I am completely in favor of the tester old grade inclusion you did with the A’s.
got mine yesterday - Birmingham, AL
I second the old grade inclusion. That is a great feature…..
Raleigh, NC
Got it earlier today, but just got home to open it up. w00t! Thanks!
Wisconsin
Mine arrived today. I’m ecstatic – my wife not so much.
I notice some of the players early in the book (i.e. names that start with A) have their past year’s grades listed, if applicable, but it seems nobody else after that does?
In the intro
John says that it is a demo with the “A” guys, and if there is positive feedback in the future the whole book would have it.
That’s weird. Why would anybody have negative feedback toward that? It’s not like it would be a game-changer or anything.
feedback about the past grades...
We weren’t concerned about negative feedback, but we were thinking that if the data didn’t make an impact, then we would not include it for future editions, as it is a pain in the patoot to do. However, if it is useful to lots of people, then it is worth it.

No book yet ...
… but I AM in Alaska. Pony Express generally a little late here in the wintertime.
Book is here
Only had a few minutes to peruse it last night, but my first comment is WOW, John went a little Sleeper happy…somewhere in the “H’s” there is a run of like 6 players with 5 of them marked as SLEEPER ALERT. It seems like there was one on nearly any page I opened to…like I said, it was just a quick perusal, but it seemed excessive.
sleepers
I had several people complain that I wasn’t making it VERY clear when someone was a sleeper, so this year I was more aggressive about putting it out front.

Sleepers
Yeah, it doesn’t really bother me…I just wondered if it was a concerted effort, or more of just a statistical anomaly that I happened to hit all the sleepers. it just looks funny on that one page where there are three sleepers among 4 players. I think it is a nice thing to see so I have no problem with it. Book looks great John, outside of the problem of not getting any homework done this week now…life is great.

NYC was delivered on Monday, February 9.
Thanks, John!
Got it, Baltimore
And it even smells good, kind of like the smell of the grass when you go into a stadium. The smell of the first prospect book of the season….
Arrived in Coventry, CT
Yesterday about noon. Thank you.

Received in Southwest Virginia
I received my book yesterday in Grundy, VA. I always look forward to it. Thanks for continuing to put it out.
Still havent received my book...
in Boca Raton, FL and yes I did order it. I sent an email to John and hope to find out where it is soon.
patience
If your book has not arrived yet, please be patient…it usually takes 2 days but we’ve had it take as long as 5 before.
Book is great John
Your writing is very informative and funny as well.
Just ordered it
I just placed my order, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes, to British Columbia, Canada. I have every Prospect Book from the Epstein edition in 1995 on. Love it… this is the latest order I have ever placed… the whole “shipping to Canada” thing is so painful, as Canada Customs seems to delight in providing free storage for the book for days and even weeks. I considered having it sent to a friend in Tacoma, but I won’t see him until April or May, and figured it will probably get here faster by direct shipping… not guaranteed but likely. So if you send mine tomorrow (Thursday,Feb 12th) we’ll see if they can set a record and get it here in a week.
Alaska books showed up ...
… I got two … one for home, one for the office. They arrived in Alaska on Wednesday. Thanks, John.
How does it arrive in Alaska...
before I can get it in Seattle? Mail just came today, Thursday, and no book to be found.
News from North Carolina
I haven’t received my book yet in Asheville, N.C.
Ottawa, Kansas
John, since we live just 20-25 miles apart, should I be concerned mine hasn’t shown up yet?
Received feb. 13 in Canada
Received the book in Gatineau, Quebec. Fastest ever, used to take 2-3 weeks. The changes you made to International mailing are a big improvement.
Lots of work for you to put letters of previous years, but a great addition as far as I’m concerned. As always, thanks for a great book.
Luc
Opus rules
I got it thursday, in Finland
Really fast int. delivery considering I ordered with INT PRIORITY not EXPRESS.
re: got it :)
John,
I like the new formatted setup for the index. It makes it easier to look up prospects!
and I am in favor of the old grades for each prospect as well.
(it’s nice to mix up the book a bit)
"Fantasy, reality, science Fiction. Which is which? Who can tell?"
Got it yesterday, Toronto, Canada
Mine shipped on Feb 18th and got it Feb 25. A couple days faster then last year.
I love the book as always. Would be nice to have the sleepers listed in the player index.
