Update and Suggestion Thread
Plugging away at Part Three of the shortstop series, but it isn't quite ready yet. Use this thread to suggest interesting things to write about and discuss after we finish looking at the shortstops. Do you guys find the "Recent History of" series interesting?

Recent history of....
I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit. As someone who has been playing fantasy baseball for about 10 years now and following the minors the last five, it’s nice to have some perspective on players who were highly regarded and how they turned out. I think that sometimes we all get so fixated on Prospect X and forget that there’s a good chance they never become anything more than a MLB regular or worse.
So yes, please keep doing them.
great stuff
I really enjoy these, please keep’em coming! Thanks!
Yes yes a thousand times yes!
These are some of the most original and interesting prospect-related pieces I’ve read in quite awhile. I particularly appreciate how you look at the history from several different perspectives — top prospects, top draft picks, current major leaguers — each way seems to tell a different story.
Since they seem to be very expansive (i.e. time-consuming) pieces, I was wondering if you’re planning to continue them throughout the year or save it as an offseason-only feature? Seems like it might make more sense to do the latter, doing 2-3 positions a year for 5 years, when it’d be time to look at catchers again?
I'm Matt (expletive) Bush!
re: yes
I have always re-read prospects books to see “who succeeded and who flamed out.”
and I have always wondered what happened to the flameouts, and why some were considered Triple A guys etc.
these are very in depth articles and I definitely appreciate reading them.
"Fantasy, reality, science Fiction. Which is which? Who can tell?"
Suggestion
Perhaps write about the WBC performances of the minor leaguers once the tourney gets started?
2008 Sleepers
Would love to see a column dedicated to the hits and misses of your 2008 sleeper prospects.
Ivan Rodriguez and Carlos Delgado
Prospect retros.
I’ve also really enjoyed the “Recent History of…” series. Hope to see more of those.
Love the Recent History of series
What’s coming up next for it?
