When I Am Dictator

Kor_medium
I will have order. . .is that clear?

Venting a few frustrations...

When I am dictator, ALL colleges will be required to have full statistics available on their websites, in both HTML and .pdf format.  All menus will be easily navigable. Any college failing to meet these requirements will be razed to the ground, the earth beneath them salted, the sports information directors hung from the nearest gallows.

When I am dictator, any "automatic" software updates from Microsoft or Apple or anyone else that leave your computer functioning worse than before the update will be banned. Any programmer or administrator responsible for approving an update that hurts computer performance will be summarily shot.

When I am dictator . . .

all wrongly used homonyms in internet rants will preclude said rants from being included as part of the internet and the authors will no longer be able to call themselves “writers” . . . that will get rid of 90% of the trash out there . . . raised to the ground indeed . . . RAZED!!!

heehee, just kidding sir . . . I’m the weirdo that likes to poke the angry lion!

I agree with your points BTW . . . though I rarely go looking for college stats on my own.

Seconded

Wake’s website is notorious for not freakin updating for years. Hell, I don’t even know if the roster is accurate.

And your second gripe describes the WFU IS department. May their heads be struck from their shoulders…

I can't say

I’ve ever had a problem with Wake’s baseball rosters or stats.

Which colleges are you having problems with John?

You want to shoot bad programmers?

Wimp.

Show some flair or fade away into dictator obscurity.

good point

Good point. We can do better than that. Shooting is too respectful.

How about tied to a stake, smeared with pig blood, and fed to hungry rats?

Minor Pet Peeve

Anyone, particularly any newscaster, who doesn’t know the proper usage of the words historic & historical should have their vocal cords removed without anesthetic, then burned and then have the ashes shot into the sun.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Jayhawk baseball - a tradition since Steve Jeltz

Hmm..

I follow D2 Baseball and I seem to find decent success with updated games & stats for the most part. That said, there are a few smaller schools that are laggards.

When will people learn?

Democracy just doesn’t work!

Democracy is just like capitalism in that regard.

We just haven’t found anything better yet.

And yes, all my IT friends say: Turn off Automatic Updates as soon as you’re happy
with your computer. Every month or so run all the security updates. If you really want to
run updates, wait for the rest of the population to test things out for you and don’t trust
the company to have tested all permutations for us, because they can’t.

If it ain’t broke, don’t muck with it.
