Community Prospect List: #143

After 246 votes the winner of the poll is Jose Ceda with 14% of the vote.    Jharmidy DeJesus (142-3%), Reese Havens (142-6%), Carlos Rosa (142-2%), Gaby Sanchez (142-4%), Gerrardo Parra (142-5%) will be removed from the poll because they fell below the 7% cutoff.  Jenrry Mejia, David Hernandez, Justin Jackson, Juan Ramirez, Jeff Locke, Kellen Kulbacki will be added to the poll.  Also, when listing testers if you do not provide the first AND last names they will not be considered.  I am doing away with runoff votes as the polls are starting to get more time consuming and spring training games are fast approaching.

Kulbacki

That bat looks real good. Nothing’s for certain, but I really, really like that bat. Rondon would be a close 2nd again.

Btw, King, Jose Ceda is on the Marlins.

Juan Ramirez

Has preformed well at every level that he has been at so far. He also has a good repetoire that can make him a good #3, possibly even more if he everything goes right. Easily above quite a few of the players that have gotten on recently. I might be a bit of a Mariner’s homer, but that also makes me a bit more familiar with the ability of some of their lesser prospects.

I voted for Chris Valaika

But there are quite a few qualified candidates IMO

TESTER:
3B Danny Valencia he is the 3rd best prospect in the Twins org. on Josh’s Johnsons site

by SteveHoffmanSlowey on Feb 15, 2009 4:56 AM EST reply actions

I don't know if he's a top 150 guy....

but for some reason Luke Hughes got a tester and Valencia is a mile ahead of him as a prospect

Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

The reason is.....

unfortunately I don’t know every prospect in baseball. If a guy isn’t recommended as a tester I probably won’t add him. However, I will be sure to get him on the next poll.
