Last year's rookies, top community prospects for future performance FINAL round #26 and 27 runoff!
It looks like we are at an impasse in the voting between Julio Borbon and Andrew Bailey, each of which is at 21% of the vote with exactly the same number of votes. So, we are going to have a runoff, to decide who is #26 and who is #27. As we are only going 27 rounds that means that this runoff will be the last round of voting and that we won't be doing another round of open voting .
Everyone else in the voting for this past round, #26, got at least 5% of the vote and thus goes down as an honorable mention. All the players listed under "possibly returning in round 27" will be listed as "also receiving some support." So, the final standings will end up looking like this:
1. Matt Wieters, C Baltimore
2. Tommy Hanson, P Atlanta
3. Andrew McCutchen, of Pittsburgh
4. Brett Anderson P Oakland
5 Gordon Beckham, 3b CHW
6. Rick Porcello, P Detroit.

Bailey
I am a Ranger fan, have Borbon on my fantasy team and like him a lot. But I went with Bailey because there are two many questions about Borbon’s ability to generate the obp necessary for a lead off hitter and about his arm to ensure that he can be a center fielder at the major league level. If both of those are answered positively he gets a nice career as a leadoff hitter then his future is much more uncertain and not worth more than a guy who looks to be able to hold and prosper in a position in the back end of a major league bull pen.
meant to say
that if Borbon can’t generate obp and/or play a decent major league centerfield that his future is very uncertain and not worth Bailey.

Goes without saying that this one isn't clear-cut
I went with Borbon, mostly because of my anti-RP bias.
A leadoff hitting CF with plus defense is harder to find, and a more stable commodity, than a late-inning RP.
On that note...
Savvy Rangers fans will recognize my screen name from a former speedy all-glove Rangers CF prospect…
Let’s hope Julio doesn’t go the route of Ramon Nivar, he of Vlad Guerrero plate discipline and Rey Ordonez power.
you mean, Rey Ordonez?
You’re name has 2k9 in it — what are you some 8 year-old who makes Pillsbury Doughboy cookies and jerks off to that bullshit video game with Tim Lincecum on the cover--
