Still waiting for splashes from their top two picks from 2008 -- Anthony Hewitt and Zach Collier. Collier made the top 10 last year but dropped off it this year. Hewitt looked abysmal in the NYPL, as evidenced by 9 walks vs 77 K in 61 games.

Santana looks like someone who could jump up this list in the next few years. He just turned 17 in August and hit .288/.388/.508 in the GCL. He's already listed at 6'5"/200.

This guy must be a burner to have beaten out Gose as the fastest baserunner.

The Dodgers won't win a playoff series until the Cool-a-Coo returns.

speed

That dude Gose really fast.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again.

Hewitt was awful in the game I saw him play in

Overthrew the 2nd baseman on a routine play to get a runner going to 2nd. He looked very stiff at 3rd and didn’t look like a great athlete. Collier is skinny as a rail and needs to put on weight but he hit a ball the other way down the 3rd baseline but his bat speed was not outstanding, it was maybe average and he was behind a lot of fastballs.

Hewitt was taking outfield practice in instructs, so I think the third base experiment is done (after two seasons and an .832 fielding percentage). To be perfectly honest, his position is almost academic at this point if he can’t cut down on the 38% strikeout rate.

Pretty sure they already announced he would be moving to the OF full time.

Aaron Altherr

Keep an eye on this kid. He went to a high school nearby me and played in a few showcases that I saw him in. Extremely raw, but he is 6’6" and EXTREMELY athletic. ASU offered him a basketball scholarship and, despite his height, he is a very good SS. Thats right, SS.

He is rail thin at this point but the kid is basically a DI basketball wing/small forward athletically, which baseball doesn’t seem to attract much of anymore

Kind of Surprised that Mathieson didn't make the list

With the reports of his velo and breaking ball coming out of the AFL I would have expected him to find his way into the back of the top ten.
