Community last year's rookies runoff for #13 and #14, Holland v. Latos
I don't particularly want and wasn't particularly expecting another runoff but with Holland and Latos exactly tied, and as large a total vote as we have been typically having in these polls, it doesn't seem like there is much choice. Given the very substantial separation between those two and everyone else (much larger than the separation between Holland/Tillman and Latos last round) and the discussion in the thread on round 13, this runoff will be for spots 13 and 14, so after the runoff we will crown the #13 and #14 and go for #15 minus Tillman, Holland and Latos. That should make for a very wide open round 15.
Given that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I'll leave the runoff up until Friday morning unless there is a large enough vote and a large enough separation between the two to call it earlier.
Looking ahead, however, to round 15, Bard and Laporta will drop, and Holland/Latos will be off, leaving around 4 spots for persons who had previously been dropped (two of those spots will likely go to Reimold and Romero) and one spot for someone new (Borbon?, Rzepczynski?). I feel like I have done a pretty good job of making sure that no one with any real chance of winning a round is off the list for that round, but next round could be a bit dangerous that way so any/all comments appreciated..

Go go Latos

i was going to vote latos
and then i read this comment, and voted holland.

Laporta
I thought he would be doing better by now, but he only got 4% in the round 13 poll, which has me thinking of dropping him for a round or two. Of course no one who will be in next round got more than 11% but I have to give some respect to the fact that Reimold and Romero managed 4% two rounds ago, with Fowler and Tillman still in the poll, and Parra and Neimann were skunked last time they were on but that was 5-6 rounds ago. As I said, its going to be tricky figuring who should be in this next round.
I’ll probably vote LaPorta next. Given the alternatives, I think he probably belongs on the poll next time around — and I’d expect him to get a good amount of support, since it’ll be wide open, as you said.

latos
makes darren dreifort mechanics look smooth
Latos
he was my third choice for the regular voting. I went with Coghlan there, but Latos is better than Holland
Didn't see Latos
pitch this year, but I did see Holland and really liked what I saw.
He struggled as the season went on, but this kid showed great stuff and solid mechanics. I think the Rangers have a good one here.
Wow
55-54.

I am waiting for the ballot stuffing to begin
I didn’t say anyhting about it yesterday becasue it is really no big deal but the 30 vote swing that happened a couple of times yesterday was pretty evident.

Honestly we might as well not even do it
Its absurd.
What we should do is restrict it so its not a poll – but instead your “vote” is listing the guys name in the comments. That way we could tie it to members.
i agree 100 percent...
members only polls are wayy better then homers coming on this site and voting for their own players again and again…. (atheltics)

let's call it a tie
As I look at this around 9:30 central it is 77-76 Latos, which at 50.3% for Latos, 49.7% for Holland, is effecttively a tie, and might be exactly a time I finish this comment. I don’t think anyone will argue with my calling this a tie. Considering the outcome of last round, although it won’t be recorded that way, it is essentially a three-way tie for 12-14 between Tillman, Latos and Holland. I’ll get round 15 up shortly.
