random evaluation
Hello,
I wonder if you have any comments / opinions on any one or all of the following seemingly random list of players in terms of their upside potential and value. Any thoughts are welcome - thank you!

Seemingly random? So there’s some pattern here? Ooooh, the intrigue. I’m going to try and figure out the code rather than comment on any of the players.
But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright Brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
They're all from the NL...
I’m going to guess it’s a masked fantasy question. NL only dynasty league?
Ha! No – there’s no code, but it’s only “seemingly random” because I own all of them in a very deep league and am thinking about their relative values, as I have some decisions to make on them – perhaps not surprisingly, I can’t find a ton of scouting info out there on them…

Mostly uninteresting
Random thoughts for a random list:
- Isaac Galloway made the BA FLA top 10.
- Kyle Russell is essentially the only guy who had a good year on this list. But he also struck out (roughly) 10,000 times.
- Kulbacki could be a decent bounceback candidate if he ever actually heals.
- Delome has a pulse, but he has horrid plate discipline.
- Green might be a decent bench bat one day.
- Aristy had a sub-.200 BA in the DSL and was suspended for substance abuse. He’s always been billed as a defensive-first kind of guy anyway, so I’d be very surprised if he ever contributed any fantasy value to anyone.
- Hynick was traded to CHW for the corpse of Jose Contreras
- Castillos is not terrible, but a big part of his value is in ARL. He put up pretty mediocre numbers in a pitcher’s league this year.
Kyle Orr
is likely a bust. The only reason he is even around is that he is still relatively young and is very strong for his age. He has made little to no improvments since being drafted despite being a talented pick.
Carrasco strugled to hit as a 1B in the California League even if Lake Elsinore is not a hitter’s park for the league. He is going on 23, next season, so you really can’t be faulted for droping him.
Galloway is an interesting one to watch but his upside is not as high as ARL might suggest. Excellent defender but the bat is questionable. He is likely a good 4th outfielder in the mold of Endy Chavez. I do not know why BA would have him so high, but he is one to hold onto in a very deep league in case he develops offensively.
I’ll second holding onto Kulbacki, injury messed with him this season. I would give him a year.
Russell is also another good one to hold onto if you can. His swing is far from pretty and scouts questioned is contact ability when he was drafted along with his power transitioning to pro ball. He has now managed to hit with wood bats but the contact issues still exist, AA will be make or break for him. Could put up some big HR numbers in his prime if he makes it past AA(which is very unlikely in my opinion).
Hynick’s stuff is pretty weak, is a extreme instance of a pitchability guy. He has a very weak fastball for a righty. He is like Yusmeiro Petit extra light with dissapearing GB rates.
Other I can’t say much about.
