So much for Angel Villalona's prospect status?
Apparently he's had his visa revoked and is facing a 20 year prison sentence for killing a man in a bar fight. I guess all that speculation on his upside and power potential was wasted effort.

"Angel Villalona, a top prospect for the San Francisco Giants, has been stripped of his U.S. visa after he was charged with killing a man in his Caribbean homeland, The Associated Press reported Friday.
Pablo Peguero, the Giants' representative for Latin America, told the AP that Villalona, 19, can't join the team in the United States because the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic has revoked his visa."

Well
I really don’t see how one could expect an accused murderer to be allowed to continue his residence in the United States, when he was a never a citizen of the United States to begin with.
I think its good policy.
But he still has his tools..... ugh. This is why make-up is important in scouting.
"I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?"
FYI
They signed him when he was 16…
I’m not going to make the obvious points here, you can put that together yourself.

I'll be trying to post lines and analysis as much as possible.
Remember: baseball guys... baseball...
if he's found not guilty...
and gets his visa back, will the Giants take him back, knowing that he paid off that family?

I'd really have to doubt it
He’s still so raw anyway, that now probably missing a whole season to deal with this will hamper his development enough that teams won’t want to mess with a combo of:
1. possible murderer
2. willing to try and pay his way out of trouble
3. who knows what other makeup issues that could pop up
I think that
His value to the Giants is the same whether or not he’s convicted.
