Interesting....

I was playing OOTP10, which, for those who don't know, is the best baseball video game out there. (It is like baseball Mogul but with better like, everything)

When I simulate, it tells me a baseball fact or trivia question--many of which are interesting. I came across one that I thought was worth sharing.

Star-divide

There has been only 1 player in MLB history to win a world series MVP for the losing team. I didn't even know that this was possible. Well, anyways, just thought it was worth sharing.

The player was somebody that I never had heard of, and I forget their name. I could look online, but I got to work.

Get 2010.

2011 will probably come out in May-June ’10.

Er, it's not "2011" or "2010"

Just 10, or 11. As in the version number.

The game is great. It's not without its flaws (the more you play, the more you learn how to build teams in a few unrealistic ways)

But it’s a lot of fun. A whole lot of fun. The customization you can do with it alone makes it my favorite computer game ever. I don’t have the latest version, but the whole series has been phenomenal.

Do they use real existing and historical players and prospects or are all the names simulated?

Either real or made up

is possible.

Just looked it up...

and it made me mad. Bill Mazeroski should have won it that year. He deserved it.

"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball

Baseball Mogul

Is pretty good. Is OOTP that much better?

I am beginning to lose patience
With my personal relations.
They are not deep
And they are not cheap.

it is

The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t realistically buy out a guy’s arb years. All of the players think they are free agents when negotiating.

Other than that I love it.
