Being a big Joey Gathright homer (don't ask!) I am surprised to find out that I never heard about him hurdling a standing up Hideki Kuroda last year in a spring training game. And to think, people said his ability to jump over cars would never translate to the diamond. He made Felix Pie dispensable! 2009 will be a career year for Joey. Not only will his batting average be over 300, but his slugging will too.
I need to start watching Sportscenter more, I guess.
