Kris Medlen
I never hear this guy talked about. He was a damn good relief prospect for the Braves and they moved him into the rotation and he really took to it well. Good stuff, strikes out a batter per inning, excellent control, had a strong AFL. He's diminutive in stature(5'10) so that might be the biggest reason he gets overlooked. I dont see why he isnt higher up on most lists. He seems like a safer bet than most guys to become a #3 or #4 starter.

well he is top 10 or 11 the our system according to most publications which is no small matter considering how good the system is.
The braves invited him to spring training so its not like he is completely under the radar

Even after his performance last year, I think they still see him more as a reliever (his small frame leads people to question his durability). I think he’s got a good shot to be the long man in the ’pen for the Braves, either starting out the year in that role or moving into it at some point if Campillo ends up in the rotation.
