Aaron Crow

If Aaron Crow were eligible, where would you rank him in the community prospect list?

Also, as a pitcher who was drafted in the top ten last year, most people think we will go in the top ten this year. It'd be a shock if he didn't sign in my opinion. Which team could you see taking him and how will he fit into that teams system?

I'll post my opinion later on.

It looks like the majority has him, somewhere between 21 and 50. Split the difference around 35. This would put him in the ballpark of these pitchers from highest to lowest. I put him between 31 and 40.

Thomas Hanson
Jhoulys Chacin
Brian Matusz
Jarrod Parker
Wade Davis
James McDonald
Brett Cecil

That seems about fair. Also considering how close his draft position was to Matusz, it makes sens that two high draft picks would be near each other assuming it was not an over draft (which neither seem to be).

I think Aaron Crow could fit nicely with the Pirates at #4. He’s probably the closest SP to the majors right now and should be ready to start his pro career after last years failure to sign. The Pirates will be willing to pay him as well. Another interesting fit might be the Reds or if he slipped to Kansas City (local product).
