Latos
not sure why it seems like folks are down on him. good upside, good production, feels fairly safe compared to some of the other arms. In all honesty, I think he’s a top 100 type, albeit end of the top 100.
Ditto
See my list for reasons. Drabek is next for me as well. Looking at Gillaspie and Castro, and a few others, I feel they should be on. Drabek proved in the fall that he was healthy. Castro is a perfect example of an overrated guy based on draft position.
I'm for Latos
But I definitely want to vote Tucker next.

Bard
I think it’s getting silly that he’s falling this far

Silly?
Who are the RPs that have gone before him, but shouldn’t have?
Bard
Sick BB/9 of 9.35 last year! Don’t worry though he improved that to 4.71 this year out of the pen.
Coming off a major surgery
A lot of guys have control problems as they come off of surgery. Similar situation (and similar pitcher) to Grant Balfour, IMO.
I voted Bard here as well. He walks guys, but he strikes guys out by the boatload, he induces grounders like crazy and he doesn’t allow homeruns. Walks don’t matter nearly as much if you’re a reliever and nobody can make contact off you.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
Bard is a lot like Radhames Liz
Both throw hard and feature a pretty good slider. Liz actually showed better control, posting a BB/9 of 4.6 last year and 3.3 this year in AA and AAA. Liz didn’t seem to be especially homer prone either- HR/9 of .62 this year and .85 last year. For comparison’s sake Bard had an HR/9 of .46 this year and .60 last year. Granted Bard does a better job keeping the ball in the park, but it is worth mentioning that he threw 28 innings this year in low A. Even so the difference is hardly staggering.
What happened when Liz came up to the majors? Big league hitters made him throw strikes, keyed on his fastball, and his HR/9 jumped up to a whopping 1.71 this year in the bigs. Bard has put up great numbers in the minors, but his lack of control will hurt him against more advanced competition. If his control doesn’t improve he’ll be hard pressed to hold down a set-up role, much less a closer’s role.
dayan vicideo
yes, i realize he’s not eligible for the list. however, clay davenport over at BP did translations for the new cuban and japanese players and he compared viciedo to michael burgess, in terms of offense. just an fyi for those looking for info on such players for their drafts or lists or whatever.

I never thought this day would ever happen. I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage.
huff
but he likely will never make the list. Some kid in little league who throws 65 mph and is projectable will beat him out for the 200th slot.

McAllister
I’m surprised just how little support Zach McAllister is getting, he is only behind, in my eyes, Barnese, Hurley, Antonelli, Beaven, and Friedrich. I voted Barnese here, and would’ve voted for Beaven > McAllister but 0% of the vote? I just feel that him getting on in the near 200 range isn’t quite as indicitive of his performance. Any reasons as to why people are sour on him, or is it just a situation where he is the majority’s 6th or 7th best prospect and no one thinks of him quite highly enough to vote for him quite yet? Curious how he loses votes from the mid-90s to the mid-120s though
My bad
Thanks for the correction!!!
