Update
Finishing up the editing process in a rush right now...Jeri is working very hard! As usual, we got caught with less time than we wanted for editing and polishing, but that is the way life works.
I should start posting some excerpts by the end of the week, and I've got a couple of features planned that you should find interesting.
I'm also going to start looking at players of interest in the 2009 draft.

John,
what were your personal answers to the prospect failures sections?

I'm very excited about the book!
And I’m very interested to hear about the upcoming draft even though it is 5 months away.
That's why we play the season on paper.
Draft
I’m very excited to compare your 2009 Draft Prospects list to BA’s.

I can’t wait.
Very excited about the 09 draft info
Its the most exciting time in baseballl in my oppinion, besides the playoffs and opening day
A couple last minute arguments for grades...
1) Aaron Hicks seems by far the worst of the B+ guys.
2) Kila Ka’aihue is a mirage… Dont reward him with a B for repeating a level three times and finally “succeeding” when he was old ARL wise. The doubles to HRs ratio is deeply troubling as well.
3) Wilson Ramon sure looks like a B- to me. I urge you to take another look. Lots of Ks, no walks, not all that much power. He looks like a perfect Young Catcher Stagnation Syndrome candidate.
4) I think Michael Saunders should be a full B.
Probably too late to change them, but I wanted to get my two cents in anyway…
John, I would appreciate it if you could
give your opinion on two players, Matt Davidson and Mychal Givens. I have watched both with an eye to the Indians’ draft. I really like Davidson’s bat! Quick thru the zone with a good load. I think he can play 3B in the majors. It may defy conventional wisdom but I think Givens future is at SS, not pitcher. He does throw mid 90s but the gun doesn’t show movement or how easy his pitches are to see. I know he is just 17 and this could be corrected in time but he really looks smooth at SS with nice range. I think his bat will play. Love to hear your thoughts!
