BA Southern League Top 20
Got the issue with all the lists in it yesterday, so here ya go...
1 - Clayton Kershaw
2 - David Price
3 - Cameron Maybin
4 - Matt LaPorta
5 - Alcides Escobar
6 - Chris Volstad
7 - Mat Gamel
8 - Michael Saunders
9 - Tommy Hanson
10 - Wade Davis
11 - Chris Coghlan
12 - Jeremy Hellickson
13 - Jordan Schafer
14 - James McDonald
15 - Ivan DeJesus
16 - Jake McGee
17 - Angel Salome
18 - Michael Brantley
19 - Adam Moore
20 - Luis Valbuena
Now remember, these lists lean more towards performance than other BA lists, and rankings are in context of the league. NOW you can start whining.

Volstad
They must love the no homers allowed. That k rate scared me off, but he has done well in the majors too. I like hanson, but Volstad really keeps it in the park.

What's The Proper Level Of Hype?
Do you mean overrating? Because I don’t see how this is even hyping, let along overhyping, especially since there is strong criticism in the write-up.

Tucker
Gotta say, I’m surprised not to see Ryan Tucker on this list.

For sure
I was surprised to not see Daryl Thompson until I saw that Tucker didn’t make it. Not sure that they got the back end correct.

No Chris Valaika either
Stacked league no doubt, but I am surprised that Valaika isn’t at the back end somewhere. Daryl Thompson for that matter also. His 61 innings have to be enough to qualify him don’t they?

Another stacked league
Pretty impressive showing for Schafer, given all the time he missed.

salome
Goodness gracious, Salome has to be higher, no?
.363/.415/.559 – as a catcher
I think all of the prospects ahead of him are darn good, but when I see those numbers from a guy who scouts think has a “shot” to stick behind the plate, that screams can’t miss to me.

He can't really catch, and can't play anywhere else, so he can certainly miss
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner

No Gaby Sanchez?
MVP of the Southern League not on list? I guess he is too old?
