Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

RIP Jack Jackson

Jeri's brother Jack was killed in a flash flood last week. They found the body on Wednesday, thank God, which will at least provide some closure for the family. The funeral is Saturday.

The Jackson and Sickels families would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. They have been a sustaining force through this very difficult time. Blessings to everyone.

So sorry

It seems as though you have a wonderfully supportive and close-knit family, which hopefully helps make the enormous loss somewhat more bearable. Be well.

Deepest sympathies.

The worst thing would have been for him to stay missing…I’m glad he was found, and to hear that the family may be able to take some small peace from the resolution that offers. Death be not proud.

So very, very sad

We all take life pretty much for granted, and yet it can be taken away in an instant.

Remember the guy who posted here from Virginia Tech the very morning before he went to class and was shot to death with so many other? And now a relative so close to this web site.

But the beauty is that we still have John and Jeri. As sad a time as this is for them, they themselves are still among our blessings.
