Anibal Sanchez - Coming Soon!
From Rotoworld...
Anibal Sanchez will make a final rehab start on Wednesday for Double-A Carolina before possibly returning to the Marlins on July 28.
Sanchez has looked pretty solid in four rehab starts. If things go well again on Wednesday, he's a lock to rejoin the rotation on the 28th. Source: Palm Beach Post
4 Rehab Starts: 2.57 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 21 IP, 18 Ks, 6 BBs, 1.32 GO/AO
I've read that he has been touching the mid 90s (94-95 mph) with his fastball. What was his stuff like before the rotator cuff injury? Anyone have any info on his other pitches during his rehab starts? I think he used to have an excellent curve.
His 2006 numbers with the Marlins are pretty impressive, highlighted by a no-hitter.
(2006: 17 GS, 10-3 W-L, 2.83 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, .217 BAA, 72Ks)
Anyone optimistic about his return?

Like Sanchez alot
Anibal has been one of my favorites for a long time, I really like him mechanically. Shoulder injuries don’t have a good track record for recovery but I’ll give him a better than average shot of getting it all back in the short term atleast.

Thanks HB!
Can you fill me in on what kind of stuff he has?
