Will Cards make a deal?
I don't think any team would feel safe with 2 out of every 5 games in the hands of Mitch Boggs and Joel Piniero. I'd imagine that team would be more nervous as Anthony Reyes comes in 8th inning and the immortal Ry-Frank coming in to close the game.
So what am I talking about? I'm talking about the Cardinals' desperate need for any type of pitcher. Starter, Setup guy, Closer, ANYONE. Luckily for the Cards they have an overperforming power hitter on their hands named Ludwick and a juicing ex-pitcher known as the Foot on their roster, with one of the best prospects in baseball on the way. I'm just using these dumb sentences as fillers.
What I'm trying to say is, that the Cards should get rid of Ryan Ludwick and try and get a pitcher. Maybe they'll close their eyes and wish for Erik Bedard. I honestly have no model for a trade in mind, so please help me out with a deal that would give away a Cards outfielder and bring a pitcher to St. Louis

This
is a relatively asinine statement. Either someone pounded down a few too many after work or they haven’t paid much attention to the Cardinals. As for Boggs, he’s down on the farm and they called up Garcia. Reyes hasn’t been an option in a while. Izzy has been their 8th inning man along with McClellan and the recently demoted Chris Perez.

The point is being made that
the Cards pitching is horrible, Boggs is still on the depth chart, and what I said about Reyes I knew was true. That being said they should trade Ankiel or Ludwick for some arms.
