My AL only minor league draft..need help please
AL only minor league draft tomorrow and I'm totally not ready for it. So I come asking for some advice from the sages here. It's a 10 team AL only keeper league. Due to rules a player isn't really valuable unless it is expected they will make their major league debut sometime this season or in 2009. Anyways I'll list who is on rosters already and any help filling in the extra names would be much appreciated. Just to clarify again, looking at guys who will likely get the call in the 2nd half of this season or in 2009.
Players already on teams.

teagarden
1st, the guy lists teagarden as taken.
2nd, his numbers are awful this year. I had him in my league and dropped him. He improved a little in AAA but slumped again. I know, injured, but he is always injured aand strikes out WAY too much to be a good major league hitter. he has struck out 72 times in 223at bats in the minors this year. Sure, with 35 walks, but that’s not enough. .220/.330/.381 doesn’t cut it. That’s not even Cust, Branyan or tettleton. Great catcher though. Mike Napoli who can catch, but with an even weaker batting average and power numbers. OK, that’s harsh. And I still have Napoli. :)
I like Brett Anderson, who he said was available. How about David Huff on the Indians. Wes Hodges. Also an Injun. Someone mentioned Feliz. Good choice. hellickson, although shelled early in AA. Yeah, max ramirez is good.

sean doolittle?
I know, like teagarden he Ks a lot too. He has kept his average up at least.
Maybe I am being too harsh on teagarden, but to me it seems he won’t be able to hit in the najors.

Doolittle
Not a sure thing he sees the majors by the end of next season.

Damn
I knew there had to be a reason…reading can help people sometimes. I would second Max Ramirez. I did not see Chris Davis either.

Aren't they both in the majors now?
Ramirez is supposed to be sent back down, but I think Davis is staying

Ramirez
He’s gonna be sent down, and didn’t get enough PA to lose his rookie status.

Wow
That’s a pretty poorly thought out rule. If we had that in any of my leagues there would be fistfights.

What about guys who were rookies coming into the season
but have either still not lost their rookie status (such as Brett Gardner), or who have lost it (such as Buchholz)? Are either of these groups eligible?
And how many rounds is your draft?

Can you draft guys who haven't signed yet?
If so, then Gordon Beckham, Justin Smoak and Josh Fields are all probably good picks.

Davis
Davis is on a roster , didn’t list him since he is in the bigs right now. Guys have 3 year contracts when you acquire them. We did this so the draft is somewhat interesting each year and a guy can’t hold onto a superstar for his whole career. You can extend guys past 3 years up to 6 total but it starts to get expensive.
I’ve got Brett Anderson and Chris Tillman so far..I hate getting pithcers in the AL but all the hitters kinda stink.

Wait
How is it “expected” that Tillman will make the majors in the next year?
This is the sort of thing my league would get in fistfights about…

Arrieta
Arretia was my 3rd pick…guess I won’t have to worry about pitching prospects since I already have David Price. Price, Tillman, Anderson and Arrieta. Maybe I can trade a few guys for some hitters, they always seem to do better in the American League upon callup.
